Paul Liotsakis was inspired to take action and bring reusables to the Bay Area after years of feeling uncomfortable with waste generated from otherwise delicious take-out meals.

Paul’s background includes leadership roles in urban gardening, the organic food industry, and the green energy sector. Paul holds an MBA in Sustainable Management from the Presidio School of Management and is owner of Small Village Enterprises which imports delicious olive oil from his family’s grove in the Island of Crete, Greece.

Vanessa's background is in business development, sales operations, and marketing from her years of working in the service, global education and tech industries. She has deep experience in implementing circular systems at organizations ranging from mom-and-pop food trucks to fortune-500 corporate cafeterias. She specializes in communications and is passionate about making waves in the environmental industry.

Ericka is a graduate from SFSU where she studied Geography and Environmental Studies. While interning for author and blogger Beth Terry of My Plastic Free Life, she learned of ways to cut out single-use plastics and helped others limit the amount they use in their lives and live a more sustainable life.

Before joining Sparkl Reusables, Ericka worked for carpooling startup Scoop Technologies where she took on all things operations as well as created and implemented Scoop's corporate social responsibility program.

Ericka’s main focus at Sparkl is building relationships with partners to help ensure the success of their waste reduction efforts.

Theo is a senior at Nea Community Learning Center in Alameda with a passion for film and a knack for everything tech. Theo has played a key role in the SPARKL business since its inception, from UX testing of apps and creating videos to engaging thousands of community members to try alternatives to single-use disposables. His contribution in front of and behind the scenes continues to be invaluable.

Luis background is in building maintenance and sanitation. His passion for cleanliness and good housekeeping ensures that SPARKL’s reuse operations are always in SPARKLing order! Luis is a native of Honduras where he grew up appreciating the beautiful nature his native country has to offer. This has instilled an appreciation for the environment and an interest in helping to keep it clean.

Brahm is passionate about building systems that support and improve the health and economy of local communities. Brahm has 25 years of experience in business and nonprofit leadership including as Founder and CEO of Community Foods Market in West Oakland, co-founder of People’s Grocery, and a longtime board member of Food Shift. Among Brahm's credentials is an MBA from the Presidio School of Management and a certificate in Human Resource Management.

Owen is a rising freshman at UC Berkeley majoring in Society and Environment, California. Raised in rural Northern California, principles of environmentalism have always been an important part of his life. After moving to the San Francisco Bay area, these principles have been supplemented with a deep-seated passion for food and food systems. Owen aspires to cultivate a career advocating for sustainable resource management through the pursuit of delicious food.
